George Cassutto is an award-winning author who developed curriculum for the PBS series “The Democracy Project,” consulted on the PBS “Thomas Jefferson” documentary, and developed curriculum for the Discovery Channel and US News & World Report. Civics has been designed to cover concepts using group activities, simulations and Internet activities that will bring the content to life for middle school students. Teachers are supported by an easy-to-use pacing guide for this full-year course, with lesson plans designed for 90-minute block schedules.
